IRRIGATION AND COMMAND AREA DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

MINOR IRRIGATION

In Jagtial there are a total of 1226 water bodies which includes minor irrigation tanks having acute less than 100 Acres, more than 100 Acres, Anicuts, Privata kuntas, Percolation tanks and Check dams. Under these water bodies 81,322 acres of acute is irrigated.

  1. MISSION KAKATHIYA –Phase I

Under this programme the Government has accorded Administrative approval for 196 works for Rs.6448.00 Lakhs from which 28,825 acres of acute is benefited. The agreements are concluded for 195 works out of 196 and all the 195 works are completed. An amount  Rs.3095.00 Lakhs expenditure is incurred for all the 195 works. One work is cancelled by the Government.

  1. MISSION KAKATHIYA –Phase II

Under this programme the Government has accorded Administrative approval for 218 works for Rs.7698.00 Lakhs, from which 28,366 acres of acute is benefited. 195 works are completed and 6 works are not in progress due to objections from Patta Land owners, and 2 works land owners are filed case in Honorable High court, this office is perusing to keep the all 8 works in progress. An amount of Rs.3115.26 Lakhs expenditure is incurred for all the 210 works.

  1. MISSION KAKATHIYA –Phase III

Under this programme the Government has accorded Administrative approval for 162 works for Rs.3211.03 Lakhs, from which 11073 acres of acute is benefited. 140 works are completed and 15 are in progress.Major component of all  14 works are completed, balance works are progress will be completed by end of  June 2020. For one work filed case in Hon,ble High court.

  1. MISSION KAKATHIYA –Phase IV

Under this programme the Government has accorded Administrative approval for 133 works for Rs.3098.00 Lakhs, from which 9960.36 acres of ayacut is benefited. 80 works are completed and 53 are in progress. Critical component of works are completed, balance will be completed by end of June 2020.To increase the ground water level the construction of 30 Check dams proposal are submitted for technical sanction constituency wise Jagtial (06), Korutla (11), Choppadandi (04), Dharmapuri(09).Out of which 4 works of Dharmapuri constituency are technically sanctioned and are in tender process.
